Brian's Roll in Removal and Reinstallation of the Santa Monica mural, "Pleasures Along the Beach":

I was the general contractor. I pulled permits, made the crates, rented the scaffolding, fencing, portapotty, and hired the sawcutting company. I partnered with the conservation company RLA, who were on site daily, documenting and tagging the sections as they were removed. After the mosaic was down, I contracted to get the wall replastered. Later I oversaw the removal of the forty by twelve foot stained glass window panels and their replacement with large plastic panels. The building owner also had me contract to paint the building. I am now getting ready to contract with RLA to prepare the mosaic sections and install at the Hilbert Museum. Had our first on-site meeting at the Hilbert two weeks ago and am going to the groundbreaking ceremony next week. 
Our project of "activating" the living room space is large in scope, but will really make a difference.
